Studies estimate that 20% of the population in the US suffers from heartburn at least once a month. 5% suffer from heartburn every day. This means that millions of Americans stand to benefit from appropriate reflux treatment.

At Advanced Surgery of Idaho, we have physicians who have taken a special interest in the treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). We have managed hundreds of cases right here in the Treasure Valley.

Dr. Ryan Hardy recently took a full year out of practice to complete a Surgical Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery with a special emphasis on the treatment of GERD and other esophageal and stomach problems. This makes him one of very few, in all of Idaho, to complete such extensive training.

We are dedicated to helping patients navigate the wide variety of treatment options available today to help relieve the symptoms and treat the complications of GERD. If surgery is necessary, we utilize the latest techniques, equipment and science to ensure the best outcome possible. In most cases, patients spend one night in the hospital and can resume most normal activities in 7 days.
