Dr. Ryan W. Hardy

Dr. Ryan W. Hardy joined Advanced Surgery of Idaho in 2007. He began his medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. After graduating, he went on to residency training at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

After completing five years of surgery residency, he served in the United States Air force for over 4 years as a general surgeon. In 2006 he was selected to complete a year long fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery with a heavy emphasis on the laparoscopic surgical treatment of stomach and esophageal diseases as well as laparoscopic weight loss surgery. He is one of the very few fellowship trained advanced laparoscopic surgeons in the entire state of Idaho.

Dr. Hardy has performed hundreds of advanced laparoscopic operations successfully. He is Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. Dr. Hardy is particularly interested in laparoscopic surgery for reflux disease (chronic heartburn), hiatal hernia repair, colon diseases and abdominal wall hernia repair. Dr Hardy is proud to be a part of the team with Advanced Surgery of Idaho.
