Advanced Surgery of Idaho is the oldest, continuous General Surgery partnership in the Treasure Valley, perhaps even all of Idaho. The surgeons group was founded in 1964 when Dr. Arthur Palrang set up practice in Caldwell, Idaho. In 1973 he was joined by a Dr. Richard Haensli. Dr. Haensli had a vision to bring "big university surgery" to rural Idaho. Over the years, seven different surgeons worked as a part of the partnership. Advanced Surgery of Idaho has always sought to bring in skilled surgeons committed to providing superior surgical procedures and techniques to Idaho while fulfilling the original vision from the early 1970's.
In early 2003, Advanced Surgery of Idaho expanded surgical services to Ada County providing surgical care to more of the Boise metropolitan area by opening an additional office next to St. Luke's Medical Center in Meridian, Idaho. The latest surgeon addition came in 2007, when Dr. Ryan Hardy joined the group. Dr. Hardy is the only Fellowship trained, Minimally Invasive Surgeon within Treasure Valley. Advanced Surgery of Idaho currently has five highly skilled, Board Certified general surgeons within the group.
Over the last four decades, medicine and surgical procedures have undergone tremendous changes. Keeping up with those advancements has been a challenge and a passion for the surgeons of Advanced Surgery of Idaho. Today, ours is still a partnership dedicated to bringing the most beneficial surgical advances through compassionate surgeons to our patients in Idaho and the Treasure Valley within an environment of excellence, cooperation and compassion.
